Before the Colt Single Action Army in .45 Long Colt there was S&W's Model #3
in S&W American .44 Centerfire.
It was adopted by U.S. Army in 1871 and allegedly carried by Wyatt Earp at the
gunfight on Fremont Street in Tombstone.
